After the predictable decline in their business, fueled by 2 years of lockdowns and house arrests promoted by many nations, Peloton tries to get rid of some of their staff and cut payroll fat. At the same time in a gracious gesture never seen before, the fired employees are also incentivized in getting rid of their fat too….. at their homes and with no paychecks.
In a strange move, even for the current state of America’s corporate world, Peloton gave every single of their 2800 dismissed employees a 1-years subscription in their “off-board bags”. It is unclear if any of the $2000 bicycles would be included.
“Now they are taking the p***, I can’t even sell it on ebay as it is not even transferable”, said Darlene, one of the dismissed employees.
“This is bull****, I don’t get it, I’m not even fat” said another confused employee.
